Cathleen M. Saros, D.O. graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of New England, and served a Family Medicine Residency at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida.

Dr. Saros served as co-lead family physician provider for High Mountain Health/Vanguard Medical Group with her practice primarily servicing families in the Passaic and Bergen County areas. With many years of experience as a family medicine physician with active in-patient hospital affiliations, Dr. Saros established a wide primary care practice which focused on the continuous comprehensive medical care of patients and their families. She is active and compliant in Patient Care Coordination, Transitional Care Management, Meaningful Use and Patient Centered Medical Home. Her transformative approach in patient-centered care has driven improvements in quality measured outcomes and lowered total cost of medical care. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and the Bergen County Medical Reserve.

She is married to Nicholas C. Saros and has three children, Nicholas, Jr. (14), and twin daughters, Alexandra and Christina (11). They enjoy athletic and outdoor activities including alpine skiing, hiking, swimming, and salt water fishing.

Dr. Douglas Borkowski - Medical Director and Chief Practitioner AFC Urgent Care Paramus

Dr. Borkowski was born and raised in New Jersey. After graduating summa cum laude from Montclair State University with a BS in Biology, he went to The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. He trained in General Surgery at The University Hospital in Newark, and soon went into practice in the Urgent Care setting where he practiced for 15 years. He got board certified in Sports Medicine in 1992 and that remains his main interest.

Dr. Borkowski is the team physician for Montclair State University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Lakeland and Pequannock Township High Schools. Dr. Borkowski is extensively published and gives many lectures to physicians, students, physical therapists and coaches. After 8 years of solo practice, Dr. Borkowski has returned to his roots in Urgent Care and looks forward to many years of practice here at AFC Urgent Care in Paramus.
